Prevent heart risk

Knowing your risk is the beginning. Prevention is what you do next.

Prevent helps you turn understood heart risk, including elevated Lipoprotein(a) (Lp(a)), sometimes called stealth cholesterol, into agreed action, recorded results, and a continuing prevention loop, in partnership with your health team.

Prevention depends on repeated action, not one perfect decision.

Understanding risk matters. But appointments end, motivation changes, routines break, and follow-up can disappear. Prevent extends the shared Navigator flow into a continuing heart risk prevention loop.

Known → Unknown → To discuss → Next action → Results → Known → repeat Prevent’s distinctive role begins with the agreed next action: carry it forward, record and report the results, return updated information to Known, and repeat the loop with your health team.

Who Prevent is for

You understand enough about your heart risk to begin taking preventive action, but you need a durable way to carry decisions into daily life, monitoring, appointments, and family conversations.

You are ready to move from understanding to action

You know which risks or decisions need attention and want a practical system for carrying agreed next steps forward.

Good intentions are not becoming reliable routines

You want preventive actions to continue after the first burst of concern rather than depending on memory, motivation, or urgency.

Monitoring and follow-up need one reliable record

Measurements, appointments, questions, referrals, and review dates are accumulating, and important follow-up could otherwise disappear.

Your next review needs a clearer record of what happened

You want to return to your health team with organised observations, completed actions, unresolved questions, and a clearer basis for discussion.

Inherited risk may matter to other relatives

You want to organise family risk information and communicate it calmly, accurately, and without turning concern into blame or panic.

You want a long-term system, not crisis-driven action

Your aim is to make prevention part of ordinary life and continuing care, while remaining clear that no system can guarantee an outcome.

What Prevent does

Prevent carries an agreed next action into sustained follow-through: record and report what happened, prepare the health team review, return results to what is known, and keep the next action visible.

Turn agreed decisions into a clear action plan

Record what you and your health team have agreed, who is responsible, what happens next, and when the decision should be reviewed.

Build routines connected to your actual risk

Move beyond generic wellness lists by linking repeatable actions to the risks, decisions, and goals that matter in your situation.

Record and report results

Use the 90-Day Results Record to capture agreed actions, measurements, relevant observations, barriers, appointments, and questions, then organise what needs to be reported to your health team.

Prepare results for review with your health team

Bring concise, organised information to appointments so you can discuss what happened, what changed, what did not, what remains unresolved, and what should happen next.

Keep review triggers and the next action visible

Record the circumstances your health team has said should prompt review, further discussion, testing, referral, or another agreed action.

Prepare calm family risk conversations

Organise inherited and family-history information so relevant relatives can consider their own questions and next steps without unnecessary alarm.

Prevention Loop Summary

Bring the action, results, barriers, unresolved questions, health team review, and next agreed action into one concise take-forward record.

  • Returns new results to what is known
  • Preserves what remains unresolved
  • Creates continuity for the next prevention cycle

Clear session boundary: the private session must be booked within 30 calendar days of purchase. It helps you organise information and prepare for a clinical conversation. It does not diagnose, interpret results for personalised medical decisions, recommend treatment, or create a health professional-patient relationship.

A 90-day results record inside a continuing loop.

The tracker supports the Results stage of the heart risk prevention loop. Ninety days is the working period of the included tool, not a separate method, clinical deadline, or finish line.

During the working period

Record the agreed action, relevant measurements, completed steps, observations, barriers, appointments, and questions that arise.

At the review point

Organise and report the results to your health team, update what is known, identify what remains unknown or needs discussion, and agree the next action.

Prevention can support more than one person.

Inherited risk and family history can raise important questions for relatives, while partners and other loved ones may have separate heart risk of their own.

Communicate early without panic, blame, or assumptions

Prevent helps you organise what is known, distinguish inherited concerns from speculation, and prepare useful conversations. The aim is not to assess another person. It is to make relevant information easier to share so they can decide what to discuss with their own health team.

The Heart Risk Navigator System

Heart Risk Navigator brings together Clarify, Navigate, and Prevent. The shared core flow is Known → Unknown → To discuss → Next action. Prevent closes and repeats the full heart risk prevention loop: Known → Unknown → To discuss → Next action → Results → Known → repeat. The three products work separately and together; you do not have to use them in a fixed order.

What Prevent is, and what it is not

Prevent is complete on its own. It supports sustained action, Results, and repetition of the Navigator loop while remaining explicit about where educational preparation ends and clinical care begins.

Prevent is...

  • A structured heart risk prevention loop for agreed action, recorded and reported results, prepared review, and repetition.
  • A way to organise routines, monitoring, observations, questions, results, and follow-up around actions agreed with your health team.
  • A 90-day results record designed to support continued prevention beyond the first working period.
  • A Health Team Briefing Template and Family Risk Information and Conversation Pack.
  • One private 30-minute educational preparation and review session.

Prevent is not...

  • A diagnosis, clinical assessment, or personalised treatment plan.
  • A guarantee that a heart attack, stroke, or other event will not occur.
  • A replacement for tests, medicines, referrals, appointments, or medical care.
  • An emergency protocol or service for acute symptoms.
  • A claim that prevention is completed after 90 days.

If important information is still missing

Use Clarify when the main need is to understand what current checks, results, family history, or concerns do and do not tell you.

Clarify my risk

If several risks still need to be connected

Use Navigate when the priority is understanding how several risks, results, diagnoses, or concerns may relate, what remains unresolved, and what needs to be discussed.

Navigate my risks

Emergency boundary: Prevent is not an emergency service. New, severe, or rapidly worsening symptoms require urgent medical assessment through the appropriate local emergency service.

Why HeartFirst

One coherent Navigator system, evidence-informed guidance, health team preparation, commercial transparency, and clear boundaries.

One coherent prevention loop.

Prevent uses the same Known → Unknown → To discuss → Next action flow as Clarify and Navigate, then adds Results → Known → repeat. You do not have to learn a competing method or start again.

Evidence-informed and health team centred.

HeartFirst uses structured evidence workflows and cautious wording. Prevent helps you carry agreed action forward, organise results, and prepare continuing conversations with your health team.

Commercially transparent. Aim, not guarantee.

HeartFirst sells educational products and does not promise control over health outcomes. Prevent supports consistent action and stronger follow-through without replacing clinical care.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to complete Clarify and Navigate before using Prevent?

No. Prevent is for people who are ready to act on heart risk they already understand well enough to manage with their health team. Clarify can help if you are still identifying what your current checks do and do not show. Navigate can help if several risks, results, or decisions still need to be understood together. Neither is a prerequisite.

Why does Prevent use a 90-Day Results Record?

The included 90-Day Results Record supports the Results stage of the heart risk prevention loop. It gives the first working record a defined period for actions, measurements, observations, barriers, questions, and follow-up. It is not a clinical deadline, a promise of results, or the end of prevention. Results update what is known, and the loop continues.

What is the private 30-minute preparation session?

It is one educational preparation and review session based on your completed Health Team Briefing Template. The session helps you organise information and prepare for a health team conversation. It must be booked within 30 calendar days of purchase. It is not a medical consultation, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment service, or substitute for your health team.

What if my Lp(a) cannot be lowered by lifestyle changes?

Lp(a) is largely determined by genetics, and lifestyle changes may not meaningfully lower Lp(a) itself. This does not make prevention pointless. Lifestyle and medical management can still address other cardiovascular risks, including ApoB-related risk, blood pressure, insulin resistance, smoking, and physical inactivity. Prevent helps you carry actions agreed with your health team into a results record; it does not determine which risk matters most or interpret interactions for you.

How does Prevent help with family risk?

Some risks, including Lp(a) and certain family patterns, may be inherited. Prevent includes a Family Risk Information and Conversation Pack to help you organise relevant family context and prepare calm, useful conversations with siblings, children, parents, or other relatives. It does not assess or diagnose another person’s risk.

How is Prevent different from Navigate?

Navigate helps organise how several known risks, results, diagnoses, or concerns may relate, identify what remains unknown, prepare what needs to be discussed, and record the next action agreed with your health team. Prevent carries that agreed action into routines, monitoring, recorded and reported results, prepared review, and the continuing heart risk prevention loop.

What makes Prevent different from a general habit tracker or wellness journal?

A general tracker records activities or habits. Prevent connects actions agreed with your health team to monitoring, relevant observations, results, prepared health team review, and the next action. It also includes the Health Team Briefing Template, Family Risk Information and Conversation Pack, and one private educational preparation session. Prevent does not diagnose, score risk, or decide treatment.

Is Prevent medical advice?

No. Prevent provides educational information, tools, structured guidance, and preparation for ongoing informed conversations with your health team. It does not diagnose, treat, interpret results for personalised medical decision-making, prescribe, or replace your health team.

Does Prevent guarantee I will not have a heart attack or stroke?

No. Prevent does not guarantee any health outcome. It helps you make agreed preventive actions more systematic, keep monitoring and follow-up visible, and prepare informed reviews with your health team, with the aim of reducing the risk of heart attack, stroke, and avoidable cardiovascular damage.

How does the 30-Day HeartFirst Guarantee apply if I use the private session?

You may request a refund within 30 days without providing a reason. If the private preparation session has already been delivered, HeartFirst may deduct the stated €60 session delivery cost and refund the remaining €87. The digital-materials portion remains covered by the 30-Day HeartFirst Guarantee. Full details are in the Refund Policy.
